It is not simply a gemstone. It is a material that takes millions of years to form, surfaces once, and never repeats itself. No two pieces are identical. No treatment can replicate what nature produces. And no amount of experience fully prepares you for the moment you hold a piece of exceptional rough in your hands and recognise something irreplaceable.
That recognition is where Gransky begins.
A story that starts in 1971
Matt Lo's father first travelled to Myanmar in 1971 to source raw jadeite directly from its origin. Over five decades, he built deep connections with Burmese suppliers, learned to read rough jade with the precision that only a lifetime of handling it provides, and supplied discerning buyers across the United States, Europe and Asia from his shop on Canton Road — Hong Kong's historic jade trading street.
Matt grew up in that world. He watched his father negotiate in the jade markets of Mandalay, assess stones that most buyers would never see, and hold a standard of quality that was never explained but always understood. When Matt launched Gransky in 2017, he carried that standard forward — and built a brand around it.
What we believe
Every piece at Gransky begins as raw rough sourced directly from Myanmar. Each piece is individually selected, cut and finished by our craftsmen in Hong Kong — which is why nothing we make looks quite like anything else.
We believe the person wearing a piece of jadeite deserves to know exactly what they have. That means natural, untreated Type A jadeite — nothing else — and independent certification available through HKJSL and HKKJJLL, two of Hong Kong's most respected gemological laboratories, for every piece in our collection.

Our studio is located at Shop 126, 1/F Melbourne Plaza, 33 Queen's Road Central, Hong Kong. Visits are by appointment only, Monday to Saturday, 10:30am to 5:30pm.
